Alison Doody

Alison Doody is an Irish model and actress. Born on 11th November 1966. Her feature film debut was a small role in the Bond film A View to a Kill. (1985). In the following film she was portrayed as a Nazi-sympathising Archaeologist Elsa Schneider (Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade 1989). There were also roles for Siobhan Dovan as Charlotte in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) Charlotte in Taffin (1988) and Rebecca Flannery in Major League II (1994). Doody became a model after her being approached by a aspiring photographer. Her career has since transformed into commercial modeling. Doody did not wear glamour, nudity and thongs during her modeling career. After being spotted by of the director who cast an upcoming James Bond film she accepted a small part as Jenny Flex in 1985's A View to a Kill. Doody appears as a part of John Willis Screen World's Vol. 3. She is listed as one of the 12 most promising actors from 1986. 38. Doody had just turned 18 years old when she was given the character of Bond girl. Doody is the youngest Bond girl to date. Another film from her early days played a tiny part in the film as IRA Siobhan Doovan, a member of the IRA in A Prayer for the Dying (1987) that featured Mickey Rourke. Doody was unspoken in the film as Archibald Craven's wife Lilias when she appeared in the film adaptation of his fantasy, 1987's version of The Secret Garden. Doody's first leading role came in the 1988 episode of Jim Henson fantasy series The Storyteller as Sapsorrow opposite John Hurt Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders. She also appeared as Pierce Brosnan on the movie Taffin. Her most notable role to date was as Austrian Nazi sympathiser as well as archaeologist Dr. Elsa Schneider opposite Harrison Ford in the 1989 film Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade. Doody played the role alongside Sean Connery, who played the character's father. Doody played the role in the British miniseries Selling Hitler with Jonathan Pryce.
