Allyson Felix
Allyson Melissa Felix was born at Los Angeles, California on the 18th of November, 1985. Paul Felix, her father was a pastor ordained at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet elementary school. Felix's ability to compete in athletics was evident right from the day she started attending Los Angeles Baptist High School. Ten weeks after the first trial she took the sport, she finished second in 200m in the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. Felix has graduated from high school in 2003, signed an agreement with Adidas. After that, she was accepted into an institution called the University of Southern California and studied elementary education. Felix was presented with her first Olympic medal at the 2004's Summer Olympics In Athens Greece. Felix ran 200m in 22.18s and set an all-time junior world record. In 2005, the Helsinki World Championships saw her become the youngest woman to be crowned the winner of the 200-meter race. She defended that title, beating her Jamaican rival Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor at Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro and Tokyo. She was consistently at the top of the podium in every event.
