Allyson Felix

Allyson Nicole Felix was born November 18 the 18th of November, 1985, at Los Angeles. Paul Felix, her father was an ordained minister at Master's Seminary Sun Valley. Marlean Felix worked at Balboa Magnet school for children in the elementary grades. Felix demonstrated a talent in athletics from the beginning, and soon discovered her talent for sprinting during her time at Los Angeles Baptist High School. Just 10 weeks after her first attempt, she finished 2nd in the 200 meters at the U.S. Indoor Track and Field Championship. In 2003 Felix completed her high school graduation signing a professional contract with the sports company Adidas prior to matriculating at the University of Southern California where she completed her elementary education. Felix was awarded her first Olympic gold at the Athens Summer Olympics 2004. Felix broke a junior-world record of running the 200m in 22.18. In the 2005 Helsinki World Championships, Felix was the youngest world champion for the distance of 200 meters. In 2007, she was able to defend her title by beating Jamaican adversary Veronica Campbell. Felix was a frequent competitor in Beijing, London Rio de Janeiro, as well as Tokyo. She always finished within the top three places of the events.
